A little bit about me 👋
I’m the writer in the friend group who gets sent cover letters, error states, and dating app prompts over text.
From AI to apps, poems to prototypes, I’ve studied rhetoric for almost 10 years now—and enjoyed every minute of it. When I was younger, all I wanted to do was write creatively—and I did for a while until I took a Visual Rhetoric course my senior year in undergrad. It was my gateway into the world of UX and utterly cracked open the possibilities for a little word-nerd like me to enter The Fancy Tech World.
I realized that my humanities background could be utilized as a strength in an industry that always fascinated yet intimidated me. I could be a woman in tech! * gasp * From there, I applied to and studied in the Digital Media M.S. program at Georgia Tech and dove into several digital and physical prototyping projects. I trained first and foremost as a UX designer, and it wasn’t until the pandemic where I pivoted to focus more on UXCS.
It’s that design background that helps me stand out as a key asset to product teams. I’m more than just someone to throw Figma files at. It feels natural to dig my heels in, to better understand context, JTBDs, business goals, and more, all to craft clear, empathetic content that speaks directly to our users’ mindset.
Professionally, I had the privilege of working with incredible minds. I’d love to find a welcoming and supportive team of geeky UX folks who are also eager to be challenged, learn from users, and build stories.
What do I do outside of work?
